According to YouTube channel TheGamingRevolution, Warzone doesn’t have its own progression tracks. The report claims that the ranking and battle pass systems in Modern Warfare’s current multiplayer system will be unified in Warzone. Progressing in Warzone will work in the same way as progressing in standard Modern Warfare and vice versa. It’ll all be connected.

However, there does sound like there’s a limitation to this progress. Some files reportedly imply that there will be serious limitations placed on free Warzone players. For example, there may be a level cap on progression for free players until they purchase the full Modern Warfare game. There may even be a limitation on Operators available in the mode, as well as things like cosmetics or even Kill Streaks.
This leak also mentions what sounds like a different type of Warzone mode named Blood Money. It’s unclear if this is a unique type of Warzone mode, perhaps a competitive version, or if it’s maybe even a version exclusive to owners of Modern Warfare. It may also be a version that uses a different type of Plunder, which is the in-game currency used to buy items in Warzone. Infinity Ward has a lot of information left to share, despite all of the Warzone-related leaks so far.
While all of the leaks surrounding Modern Warfare’s Warzone battle royale mode may make it seem like it’s a complicated and perhaps controversial release, that’s certainly an exaggeration. Warzone will be, almost certainly, a popular battle royale mode that’s widely accessible due to being free. There may be some controversy regarding its monetization and live service elements, because there always is with those types of games, but there’s no reason to worry just yet. It certainly won’t have Modern Warfare’s spawning controversies, at least.
