However, it’s possible that some of the new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2022 have leaked online. The Xbox Game Pass Deals page on the Microsoft Store recently listed eight games that are not currently available on the service; the last time this happened was with various Bethesda games that did indeed jump ship to Game Pass. It’s possible that these games have been leaked for the April 2022 lineup. It’s also possible they will be coming to Game Pass at a later date, or won’t be coming to the service at all, so fans should keep that in mind.

The eight Xbox Game Pass games that were recently leaked are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Diablo 2: Resurrected, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear Survive. Fans should definitely take this lineup with a grain of salt, but if accurate, it seems that Xbox Game Pass is set to get some older, but still very popular, games.

The Activision-published Call of Duty games and Diablo 2: Resurrected wouldn’t be surprising at all to see on Xbox Game Pass at some point down the line. After all, Microsoft is acquiring Activision Blizzard, at which point it will own both of those franchises. Just as Microsoft’s Bethesda acquisition saw Bethesda’s games come to Xbox Game Pass, so too will Microsoft’s Activision acquisition see the company add that company’s games to the subscription service.
The only question is when that may happen. One would think that Microsoft would wait for the Activision acquisition to go through before adding its games to Game Pass, but since these are just four titles and not the entire Activision Xbox library, maybe some deal has been reached to get some games on the service ahead of time. Then again, it’s possible that these listings were in error, and so Xbox Game Pass subscribers may very well have to wait for Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision to go through before they can get their hands on any of them.
If these leaked games are for the April 2022 lineup, then fans should find out more information early next week. They shouldn’t hold their breath, but it will definitely be interesting to see if any of these titles are indeed confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in the near future.
