“I thought it was pretty funny at the time,” he told Sporting News. “And looking back on it, it even seems funnier.”

Even though Tucker was in just his second year and had not seen much playing time as a rookie, the man in charge of renting luxury boxes kept giving him the hard sell to secure one — going so far as to assure Tucker that his spot on the team was secure, even before training camp.
“He was under a lot of pressure to sell luxury boxes, and so he was leaving no stone unturned. I give him credit for that,” Tucker said. “But needless to say, I was not a good candidate to get a luxury box.”
It’s good that Tucker never gave in: He ended up getting cut during the season.
