It’s an incredible feat that had everyone laughing. The fan, bless him, stood motionless for a few minutes while McIlroy made his way over. A PGA official allowed McIlroy a drop where he then could hit back into play.

No word yet on what the fan will receive from McIlroy as a parting gift other than a handshake, but at least it makes for a good story.
