Speaking with TMZ Sports after UFC 207, AnnMaria De Mars said she wanted her daughter to retire a long time ago.

De Mars said she thinks Rousey should pursue movies, writing and producing.

“Who wants to see their kid get hit?” De Mars told TMZ Sports. “She’s got a lot of talent. She’s really smart. I told her that at the beginning of this thing that [she’s] smart and beautiful, let the stupid people get punched in the face.”

De Mars wouldn’t say much about Rousey’s coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, but she’s clearly not a fan of him.
